The primary purpose of a Distribution Block is to more efficiently supply power to a series of electric devices. However, a Distribution Block also has a secondary safety function that will allow it to isolate short circuit incidents preventing complete shutdown from ensuing.

Power Distribution Blocks are able to manage an array of frequencies and currents with the benefit in them requiring only one large wire on the input side to link each connected device back to the power source. This removes the need for individual wiring of each device.
